The Mid-American Conference- moving forward- has announced that champions for field hockey, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, women's lacrosse, softball and baseball will be determined by regular-season results. In addition, the men's and women's basketball tournaments will not have opening-round campus games.
Also, volleyball, M/W basketball, M/W swim/dive, M/W indoor/outdoor track and M/W golf will see revised tournament layouts.
Due to financial ripple effects, Appalachian State is cutting men's soccer (joining U-Cincinnati), men's tennis and men's indoor track & field
