Women’s Basketball: The
Olympic field will be finalized after the Women’s Olympic Qualifying
Tournaments next month in four different cities, starting on Thursday, February
6th and ending on Sunday, February 9th.
Boxing: There will be a
ShoBox tripleheader on Friday the 31st, featuring three undefeated
boxers: 17-0 Ruben Villa, 17-0 Taras Shelestyuk and 15-0 Yeis Solano
Soccer: The AFC U-23
Tournament will start on Wednesday and conclude on Thursday the 23rd.
This is a qualifier for the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer. Three teams from
this tournament will join Japan, France, Germany, Romania, Spain, New Zealand,
Egypt, Ivory Coast, and South Africa in the Olympic field
Men’s Tennis: Australia
has progressed to the ATP Cup quarterfinals
Twenty-three teams have
advanced past round three in the English FA Cup- Birmingham City, Burnley, Millwall,
Hull City, Brentford, Sheffield Wednesday, Fulham, Oxford United, Norwich City,
Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Leicester City, Manchester City,
Northampton Town, West Bromwich Albion, Chelsea, Barnsley, Derby County, Queens
Park Rangers, Sheffield United, Liverpool, and West Ham United.

Mixed Martial Arts
The second Bellator men’s
featherweight Grand Prix quarterfinal between Darrion Caldwell and Adam Borics
will take place on Saturday, January 25, with the winner joining 16-0 AJ McKee
in the semis. The main event will see Julia Budd v. Cris Cyborg for the
Bellator women’s featherweight strap.
Sean O’Malley v. Jose
Quinonez is pushed back from UFC 247 (February 8th) to UFC 248
(March 7th). O’Malley (11-0) was booked for UFC 229 (October 2018)
and UFC 239 (July of last year), but was flagged by USADA both times. In
addition to O’Malley v. Quinonez, Jeremy Stephens v. Calvin Kattar is in the
works for men’s featherweight.
UFC Brasilia has a
rebooked bout: Makhmud Muradov v. Antonio Carlos Junior (originally Brad
Tavares v. Antonio Carlos Junior, but Brad Tavares is injured)
