What I think should be done about Russia, sporting-wise:

1. Their UEFA membership should be revoked and they can reapply no earlier than April 2027

They would thusly be unable to compete in the 2022-23 UEFA Nations League, the 2023 Women's World Cup qualifiers, the U21 Euro qualifying (which is also the qualifier for Paris 2024 men's soccer) and qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

2. They should be removed from September's EuroBasket field 

3. The short-course world championships scheduled for December should be moved out of Russia

4. Even if they achieve the qualifying standard, Russian athletes shouldn't be able to compete at next years' IAAF Outdoor Championships in Eugene

5. No Russian Premier League clubs should be able to qualify for the next Club World Cup

6. No Russian Premier League teams should be able to qualify for the next Champions or Europa or Europa Conference League competitions
